Overview
Central is Hong Kong's financial heart — glass towers beside colonial landmarks, the iconic Star Ferry to Kowloon, and a dense web of escalators climbing toward Mid-Levels. Admiralty next door hosts government buildings, Pacific Place mall and easy MTR links to everywhere.
Central rewards walkers who look up and sideways: the HSBC Building's open plaza, the LegCo complex toward Admiralty, and laneway cafés above the Mid-Levels escalator. Pair a morning Star Ferry with an afternoon at Tai Kwun, then ride or walk toward SoHo for dinner. Allow half to a full day; add Pacific Place if you need mall air-con between meetings.
